Open finger practice gloves (with side protection)

These are open-finger practice gloves used in the RGJJ curriculum Level 2.

These gloves are an improved version of standard open-finger gloves, featuring a cover on the little finger side for added safety, reducing the risk of bruises from accidents.

Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is about self-defense and is not limited to grappling as a rule-based sport. Considering that violence in everyday life most likely starts with being punched from a standing position, it involves practicing how to defend oneself from an opponent's attack, including punches.

In Level 2 training at Royce Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy Tokyo, participants must use well-controlled strikes to mitigate the risk of injury from striking attacks. Therefore, only those with blue belt or higher skills are allowed to participate.
