What is Jiu-Jitsu for defense?
While many forms of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu have developed as a sport based on the premise of "winning matches," Gracie Jiu-Jitsu aims to protect oneself and loved ones.
We avoid unnecessary strength contests and excessive sparring; instead, we teach self-defense techniques step by step.
That's why Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a sport that even beginners can start with confidence, and that people of all ages and genders can enjoy and continue practicing for a long time.

Customer Feedback
Here are some of the wonderful comments we've received from our customers.

It wasn't about winning, but about using jiu-jitsu to protect myself.
At my previous gym, I was worried about the environment where even beginners could immediately participate in sparring. Here, there's a well-structured curriculum that allows me to learn step by step, so even though I'm not very confident in my physical fitness, I can continue with peace of mind. Going after work helps me to clear not only my body but also my mind, and it's become a time for me to regroup.

Because it was easy to continue without any difficulty, before I knew it, it had become a part of my life.
I had no prior experience in martial arts, so I was initially worried about whether I could do it. However, Royce Gracie Jiu-Jitsu prioritizes self-defense over competition, and there's no intense striking or reckless sparring, so I feel safe participating. As I continued, I noticed improvements in my posture and physical strength, and I feel like I've become calmer in my daily life.

This is a place where you can learn not only technical skills, but also inner peace.
I'm drawn to this dojo not just because it's about getting stronger, but because it has an atmosphere that values courtesy and consideration. The instructors and members are all gentle, and there's an environment where everyone respects each other regardless of age or occupation. After practice, I feel strangely refreshed, and I feel it has a positive impact on my work and daily life.

Frequently Asked Questions
No, even those with no experience can start with confidence.
Our academy employs the RG360™ curriculum, which allows beginners to learn at their own pace without difficulty. Regardless of physical ability or age, you can participate with confidence at your own speed.
Yes. Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is a self-defense system that was created not to win matches, but to "protect oneself." You will learn how to deal with real-life situations, such as when your hair is grabbed or you are pushed down. Because it is systematized based on the ideas of the small-statured Royce Gracie, the curriculum is safe for women and those who are not confident in their strength to learn.
Many participants experience improved physical fitness and reduced body fat through consistent participation. Because it's a fun and engaging workout that uses the whole body, rather than an overly strenuous one, it contributes to building a healthy body and relieving stress.
For your first trial lesson, please wear only comfortable clothing. After joining, we will provide you with a gi, rash guard, and belt designated by the Royce Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Network, so even beginners can start with confidence.
No, beginners do not spar from the start. First, you will learn the basics of self-defense and how to use your body safely through the RG360™ curriculum. We also offer sparring classes that can be joined gradually for experienced individuals or those who wish to participate.
